Kurzbeschreibung
This book will be the first book on structural stability written primarily as a textbook to provide a clear understanding of theoretical stability behavior. The book will give students and professionals a basic understanding of the design specifications developed by organizations such as AISC and implemented in building codes by IBC, and guide them in applying these specifications in real world designs. Stability is a concept common to civil, mechanical, and aeronautical engineering, but design approaches differ between all three areas. This book will present design guidelines for civil applications, with less attention paid to material properties of steel and aluminum.
