Author information Goutam Brahmachari obtained his Ph.D. degree vom Visva-Bharati University at Santiniketan (West Bengal, India), where he is now an Associate Professor of Chemistry. He is the author and editor of several books, including two volumes on the chemistry of natural products, and a member of the Indian Association of Cultivation of Science (IACS). His research interests focus on chemical and biological studies of phytochemicals from medicinal plants.
