KINGSLEY BOLTON is Professor Emeritus at the University of Stockholm, and Research Fellow at Ateneo de Manila University. He has published widely on English linguistics, English-medium instruction (EMI), and language and society. Recent publications include The Handbook of Asian Englishes (with Werner Botha and Andy Kirkpatrick, Wiley Blackwell, 2020), and The Routledge Handbook of English-Medium Instruction in Higher Education (with Werner Botha and Benedict Lin, 2024). He is Co-Editor of the journals Educational Studies and World Englishes and Series Editor of the book series Multilingual Asia. He is currently Executive Director of the International Association for World Englishes (IAWE).
