 Dear Authors,
We would like to invite you to submit a paper for a special issue of ELECTROPHORESIS focused on microfluidics and miniaturization. Since its start in 1999, this special issue has generated significant interest leading to a re-definition of the original scope of the journal and the addition of the new category of "Microfluidics and Miniaturization" to any regular issue of ELECTROPHORESIS. Nonetheless, the special issue on MICROFLUIDICS AND MINIATURIZATION has become a well-anticipated annual tradition focusing entirely on this exciting and still evolving field.
MICROFLUIDICS AND MINIATURIZATION 2010 will be the next in the series and we encourage submission of articles covering all aspects of miniaturized systems, including theoretical and practical considerations in their design, fabrication and applications. The suggested topics include (but are not limited to) chip design, miniaturized separations, micro total analysis systems (μ-TAS), lab-on-a-chip systems (LOC), miniaturized chemical and optical sensors, detection aspects, microfluidic interfacing, sample preparation, mass spectrometry coupling, bioreactors and cell manipulation. Additionally, theoretical aspects as well as genomic, proteomic, metabolomic, diagnostic and forensic applications of miniaturized systems will also be considered.
The tentative publication date of the MICORFLUIDICS AND MINIATURIZATION 2010 issue is set towards the end of 2010. Additional information and instructions for authors are available online from the For authors page. The deadline for submission of the manuscripts is set for June 1, 2010. Please submit your manuscripts electronically at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/elpho indicating that it is intended for this special issue, or contact one of the co-editors directly.
