Advanced Biomaterials covers all fields of biomaterials including but not limited to nanobiomaterials, biomimetic biomaterials, smart biomaterials, antimicrobial biomaterials, biomaterials surfaces, interfaces and functionalisation, biodegradable materials, drug and gene delivery, tissue engineering, dental materials, biomaterials of natural origin, computational biomaterials science, biophysical aspects of biomaterials, biosensors and screening devices, biomaterials characterization and testing, clinical performance of biomaterials and biomaterials certification and regulation.

Advanced Biomaterials publishes invited reviews, high impact full-length research articles and rapid communications with not more than three printed pages. Advanced Biomaterials is committed to swift processing and publication of contributions. Authors should refer to the scope of the journal or contact the editor should any questions arise regarding the suitability of manuscripts. Advanced Biomaterials will initially appear four times per year as a section within Advanced Engineering Materials (please visit www.aem-journal.de).
