Macromolecular Reaction Engineering is the only high-quality journal dedicated exclusively to academic and industrial research in the field of polymer reaction engineering. MRE was added to the ISI Web of Science shortly after the journal's launch in 2007. Following last year’s excellent first Immediacy Index, Macromolecular Reaction Engineering now has achieved a promising first ISI Impact Factor of 1.041 (2008). The journal presents strictly peer-reviewed Feature Articles/Reviews, Full Papers and Communications. It also includes Book Reviews, Essays, Macromolecular News and Conference Reports. Special Series 'New Production and Enabling Technologies in Polymer Reaction Engineering', guest-edited by Klaus-Dieter Hungenberg. 'Polyolefins', guest-edited by John C. Chadwick. 'Sensors, Process Control and Modeling', guest-edited by Jose R. Leiza. Special Issue Several special issues in preparation for publication in 2009/2010 with topics including 'New Frontiers in Polymer Engineering', and 'Controlled Radical Polymerization'.
