Scott O. Lilienfeld is Professor of Psychology at Emory University, U.S.A. He is founder and past editor of Scientific Review of Mental Health Practice, has been a member of more than fifteen journal editorial boards, and has served as Associate Editor of the Journal of Abnormal Psychology and Applied and Preventive Psychology. His principal areas of interest are personality disorders, psychiatric classification and diagnosis, dissociative and anxiety disorders, and the science-practice gap in clinical psychology. He has published over 300 articles, book chapters, and books, including Brainwashed: The Seductive Appeal of Mindless Neuroscience (2013), Psychology: From Inquiry to Understanding (2010), and 50 Great Myths of Popular Psychology: Shattering Widespread Misconceptions about Human Behavior (Wiley Blackwell, 2009). His work on psychological science and pseudoscience has been featured widely in print and on TV and radio. Dr. Lilienfeld is past-president of the Society for the Scientific Study of Clinical Psychology and president of the Society for the Scientific Study of Psychopathy.
