Gopinathan Anilkumar is professor of organic chemistry at the School of Chemical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala, India. His research interests are in the areas of organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, heterocyclic chemistry and catalysis, particularly on ruthenium-, iron-, zinc-, copper-, manganese-, cobalt- and nickel-catalyzed reactions. He has published more than 70 papers, seven patents, and one book chapter.

Salim Saranya is a PhD student in the group of Prof. Gopinathan Anilkumar at the School of Chemical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, India. Her research interest is focused on transition metal-catalyzed coupling reactions, especially copper-catalyzed reactions.
