Hermenegildo García is full Professor at the Instituto de Tecnología Química of the Technical University of Valencia and Honorary Adjunct Professor at the Center of Excellence in Advanced Materials Research of King Abdullaziz University. Prof. Garcia has been active in the field of heterogeneous catalysis working with porous catalysts and NPs, as well as in the photocatalytic production of solar fuels. Prof. Garcia is doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Bucharest and the recipient of the 2011 Janssen-Cilag award given by the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry and the 2015 Jaume I prize for Novel Technologies.

Amarajothi Dhakshinamoorthy obtained his Ph.D., degree in 2009 from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu, India. Later, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Hermenegildo Garcia at the Technical University of Valencia for four years. Then, he returned to India and joined as UGC-Assistant Professor in June 2013 at School of Chemistry, Madurai Kamaraj University. His research interests include catalysis by metal-organic frameworks and graphene-related materials. He is the recipient of the Young Scientist Award 2014 for Chemical Sciences by The Academy of Sciences, India. He was also awarded an INSADFG international bilateral exchange award to visit Germany in 2015. He has co-authored over 150 publications, 5 book chapters and an international patent.
