Kathleen Desmond is Professor of Art at Central Missouri State University where she teaches Ideas and the Visual Arts, a general education art appreciation course and Artists in Contemporary Society, an integrated capstone course required of all art majors. She has published more than seventy critical and scholarly articles about contemporary art and artists and college art teaching and learning in journals. Desmond is also Chair of the College Art Association's Education Committee
