Xin Zhao is Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong SAR, China. She obtained her PhD at University College London, UK and postdoc training at Harvard University, USA before joining PolyU. She is dedicated to Translational Regenerative Medicine, integrating multi-disciplinary approaches including material science, cell biology and medicine to modulate cell microenvironments, control cell behaviors and generate tissue-engineered organs, for addressing clinical issues. So far she has published more than 80 articles in leading journals.
Shen Liu is a Professor at the Department of Orthopaedics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Affiliated Sixth People's Hospital, China. He obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at Department of Orthopaedics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Affiliated Sixth People's Hospital and his postdoctor degree in Johns Hopkins University, USA. His major is orthopedics including reconstruction of tendon adhesion, soft tissue defects, bone defects and cartilage defects using clinical treatment and tissue engineering. He was fund by three National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2013 annual Shanghai Jiao Tong University Morningstar Young Scholar Award and the 2015 annual Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission Star Program.
