Stella R. Quah is an Adjunct Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore, specializing in medical sociology, public health, and public policy. She has published more than 60 journal articles and 27 books, including Health and Culture. Her research focuses on health behaviors, governance of epidemics, and family caregiving in physical and mental health.
J. Michael Ryan is a Professor- Researcher at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú with international teaching experience spanning five continents. He has authored and edited numerous works, including The McDonaldization of Society (with George Ritzer) and COVID-19: Social Inequalities and Human Possibilities (with Serena Nanda).
