Applied Research is a peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal showcasing international research spanning fields across the physical and life sciences. The journal aims at publishing papers that help unite the approaches between fundamental studies and applications, and supports work that contributes to sustainable problem solving and global initiatives.

Applied Research publishes high-quality work in the areas of Materials, Applied Physics, Chemistry, Applied Biology, Food Science, and Engineering, as well related fields such as Biomed and the Social Sciences. Authors may choose from a variety of article types: Reviews, Minireviews, Tutorials, Perspectives, Research Articles, Short Communications, and Application Notes. The readership is broad and international. 

The journal welcomes authors to publish their conceptual ideas and techniques that support innovation development. A particular goal of this publication is to bring greater focus onto research that shows the implementation or potential to apply knowledge, methods, instrumentation and technology into solutions.

Applied Research has no publication fee, and authors have the option to publish open access. All articles will be free access at least until end of 2024.
