To continue to provide our authors with the best possible distribution and remuneration, Wiley-VCH has launched a major project to assign an ISNI to our authors and transmit this to important systems such as VG-Wort and the Directory of Available Books (VLB):
- The ISNI will be mandatory for VG-Wort in the future and will enable authors to be clearly assigned to their contributions, facilitating distribution.
- The ISNI will also be mandatory in the Directory of Available Books (VLB) from the end of 2025, enabling users to clearly find the works of authors.
To provide you, the author, with the best possible support, Wiley-VCH represents the interests of its authors and will determine the corresponding ISNI for every work published by Wiley-VCH or apply for missing ISNIs for works that have already been published.
If you would like to check whether you are registered as an author, apply for an ISNI, or require further information regarding the entry in the VLB, you will find the relevant links here.
Further information on the ISNI and why it is important can be found on Wikipedia and at https://isni.org/.
